Sweet Melody Outfit

Well we have had a successful couple of days here at The Doll Wardrobe: we already have over 50 entries for the Summer 2010 Giveaway in less than 48 hours! Wow! And we haven't even announced it on the boards yet!

For today's post we are continuing the saga of our latest AG order and showing you Ziva modeling the Sweet Melody outfit. It's one of those AG outfits that makes one just accept its pink qualities and embrace it because of its purple qualities. We liked the purple tee and shoes, so we felt compelled to purchase it. Also, you never know how long the current JLY outfits will last now that Innerstar U is around the corner with (supposedly) a whole new bunch of accompanying outfits.

So you get the purple tee with a "Music" graphic across the front, the pink tiered petticoat skirt, and the purple slouchy, sparkly boots with this outfit. (As well as a small book.) Overall, we don't really like the top and skirt together... but the pieces have good potential for mixing and matching. And it is cool to have purple booties. ;)

Enjoy the pics!
Pssst: our next post will show you a tricked out version of this outfit. :)

Summer 2010 Doll Giveaway
Enter Here!

Well, I guess I will tear myself away from playing pirates for a little while to announce the Summer 2010 Doll Giveaway here at The Doll Wardrobe blog. Woot! :)

One lucky winner will be able to choose one of three dolls--- Kirsten Larson, Just Like You #41 or Just Like You #21! The doll will come brand-new, in-box, with her meet outfit and book, and an extra outfit (which we will discuss more in a later post).

So now here are the important details: You must be 18 years old or older to enter this giveaway. If you are younger than that please have someone 18 years old or older, like a parent or guardian, enter herself/himself.

To enter, please write your full name and your email address as a comment to this post. It will not be published and only Penny will be able to see it. Winners will be drawn out of a hat, i.e. randomly picked. If you win, she will email that address to notify you and ask for your doll choice (from the three pictured in this post), and your shipping address.

There will only be one winner for this giveaway -- she/he gets to choose one of the above dolls to receive. The two left-over dolls will reappear in the Fall 2010 giveaway. :)

We will ship to other countries (including the USA, of course). So if you live in Australia, England, Canada, and so on--- and you win--- we will ship the doll to you for free. No cost to you.

The last day to enter the giveaway will be
Sunday August 1st,
2010 and the winner will be announced
on Monday August 2nd, 2010.

Any questions??? Please feel free to ask. :)

Avast Ye Mateys!
Mux Originals Pirate Costume

Ahoy! 'Tis a wonderful tide t' be a swashbuckler!

Yes, International Talk Like A Pirate Day 2010 is still over 80 days away...but it's fun to use pirate lingo and dress like a pirate at anytime of the year. ;)

However, when it comes to pirate costumes for the 18" crowd, there are not a lot of options. Luckily for us, Mux Originals released a pirate costume in the new Summer Line. Woot!

In this set you get the brown cropped pants; fancy red, black and white shirt; and black headscarf. We added in Felicity's meet shoes and a sword made from aluminum foil to complete the swashbuckling look. Now all we need is a pirate ship.... we have a Lego one around here somewhere... but none that are AG-sized.

Imagine if AG released a Pirate Ship Tree house for AGs? That would be awesome..... here is what I am thinking of..... only AG-sized....

Pictures are from Daniels Wood Land-- If you want something incredibly awesome built in your backyard, these are the people who can do the job. :)

Of course if AG doesn't want to do a Pirate Ship Tree House... they can do a Pirate Ship bed like at Trinidad South in the Caribbean Resort at Walt Disney World.....

An AG-sized version of that would be awesome!!!

I'm thinking they could do an AG Girl of the Year that is really into pirates-- maybe lives down in Florida in the Keys or maybe the U.S. Virgin Islands--- and she could have a whole bunch of piratey stuff! Pirate ship bed. Treasure chest. Eye patch. Little pieces of eight. Parrot for her shoulder. Tri-corner hat with a skull and crossbones on it.... probably too much to wish for though.

As you can probably tell, I am easily distracted by pirate stuff... but I did remember to add in the doll pictures. Please enjoy our photos of Ziva dressed as a pirate, courtesy of Mux Originals! Arrggh!
