What's up, Stitches.
Maple here.
We're here at "Holiday Dailies: Trends to Sew #8."
We saw this in Seventeen magazine, and were like "What the Poodle is Ukala?"
Are we really that out of the loop?
I guess so.
Here is ANOTHER "U-name" Aussie company making wool-lined boots..
Ukala are apparently the less expensive cousin of UGGS.
We don't know if they hold up like UGGS do though. Our UGGS have done very well with years of use. So we do recommend UGGS for humans.
But for dolls, well boots are boots. Try your hand with Liberty Jane's many available boot patterns to make dolly UGGS or Ukalas. But you probably already knew that.
Ukala also offers "Looks" for design inspiration on their site.
See below:
_____ Socks under the boots. A new trend for UGGS/Ukala.
In human reality wearing any socks with these boots is insane. They are WOOL-LINED. Your feet will sweat and sweat and sweat until they fall off your leg.
_____Slouchy knit hat in mint
_____Open-weave cream over-size sweater
____Pink suede boots
____Original/Classic tan suede boots
___Very light grey or blue jeggings/skinny jegs that can tuck into the boots
____Sequined slouch scarf
____Hairbows and Bow Headbands are In
____Floral jackets
____Again, the knee-high socks under the boots
____Neat decorative accents on these boots
____ Like the dusty rose paired with grey
____ Chambray shirt. How many times do we have to point these out? :-P
____ Light aqua booties
____Oatmeal knit beanie
___Striped shirt
____High-waist shorts
Uncomfortable "Baby in the Corner" pose is optional.
Also in Seventeen was this girl blowing us a kiss.
She is sporting duds sold by PacSun.
PacSun has been on our radar for awhile.
Have we mentioned it before?
We honestly can't remember.
They have some interesting pants options.
These are those "coated" jeans we have talked about before.
Below is an "over-dyed" option.
How can you tell?
There are clusters of 'extra' dye at the seams, pockets, belt-line in the fabric.
And overall they have a mottled look.
Patterned skinnies.
Also seen below with this awesome varsity sweatshirt.
Her daft head-tilt is less awesome.
Love these varsity things. Yet no one makes them. Why? Oh, why?
Other PacSun looks.
We like how they build outfits with their jackets that actually look good.
Below is an interesting look. It is like a cardigan and bomber jacket combo.
We thought at first it was two pieces together.
But nope.... Upon closer study, the jacket itself is more blanket-weight than cardi weight.
So more like a flannel or fleece disguised as a striped knit.
"Soft fleece trim. Button up front. Soft exterior. Fully lined."
Love this patterned jacket with grey over white.
Dress should be longer. Either that or she forgot to put on pants.
Nice interpretation of the moto with a subtle contrast.
Try over floral dress.
Military olive-colored jacket.
Bold tropical shirt -- We have seen this before on a skirt.
A good look to try with the 2012 Woomera Jacket pattern, if Liberty Jane releases it.
Probs will. Probs will.
Love the bright plaid shirt paired with the black jacket.
Nice holiday look below.
Model is less teed-off in this shot. ;-)
She's like: "Do I smell Christmas cookies???"
Thanks so much for visiting us today!
(Gee. Why am I being so nice to y'alls?
Oh right, Santa.....
He's always watching....Always Watching)
Stay tuned for FOUR more Holiday Dailies!

Ohhh, I love this one, Kenna sure would love this one. *looks at wallet* Sadly, I will wait.
"Dress should be longer. Either that or she forgot to put on pants." Yep, pretty much my thoughts on all the previous shorty skirts but when I got to your commend and read it, I actually did LOL! :)
