Hi, Nora and Friends!  My name is Mika and I love Dolls! I have four lovely American girl dolls, Mikayla, JLY #13, Saige, GOTY 2013, Julie, historical character, and Olivia, JLY. I love to blog, too!  You can check out my blog here: http://myagdollies.blogspot.com/ I post nearly three times each day, sometimes 4! Wait---this contest isn't about me...It's about dolls! I would like to go on and on about my blog and dolls, but I have a contest to enter! My doll "Jules" Julie  Rosalyn Albright loves to hang out in her meet dress! She just absolutely adores the bell-bottoms!

I like this outfit (and so does Jules) because  it really shows Jules spirit and how she is truly connected to her 70's era. She may not admit it, but this outfit does really bring out her inner spirit! I got this outfit in 2012 when I first bought Jules. It was my first time seeing her in person and I fell in love with her charm and the outfit! Although Etsy and Americangirl.com help out  a lot by supplying me with doll clothes, I would love if they had these dresses in doll size!

This one would be a fancy bridesmaid's dress! I would so buy it!

And this one is a cute summer dress! LOVE ♥!

And last, but not least, I would totally love this dress! I really like how the green and the white go so well together!

This is my favorite doll, Elizabeth, in her favorite dress, The riding outfit.

This dress is my favorite because it is authentic to the 18th century and its pink color looks beautiful with Elizabeth’s hair. I received this outfit for my 10th birthday. I love it!

I would like this dress to be made for my dolls. I am obsessed with the 18th century and this would be a great addition to my collection.

My Kailey Doll's favorite outfit is a white dress with pink/red flowers and a pink belt paired with red ballet flats. The shoes are from American Girl's "Ruby Red Outfit" and the dress it homemade. It is her favorite because it is fancy and girly, but has a touch of a casual feel.

I made this outfit using Polyvore.com. I would love to see it in doll size!

This is my fav outfit I have made for this doll.

I named him Lucky Blu because I am lucky to have him.

Lucky is a Harmony Club Doll, the outfit is my fav because it can be so many things at once, a racing outfit for Nascar, and Jockey outfit for the Kentucky Derby or just a taxi driver.

And included is a dress I would love to have for an 18 inch doll.

For this post we have the Final Round Pictures from our four 2013 GPC Finalists!

Weee!!!

Here they are in no particular order....

Wall 

I wanted my final entry to be more than just a pretty picture, so I decided to go with a Memorial Day theme in light of the upcoming holiday. Charlie and Rontu are standing at the "Wall of Honor", part of a local memorial called the "Veterans Walk of Honor". Charlie is holding a bouquet of roses that she plans to leave at the wall as a thank you. 

I am so thankful for the men and women who served and are currently serving in our military, and I wanted to express that in this photo. What makes this even more significant for me is that my grandfather and my father both fought for our country. They were fortunate enough to survive the wars they were a part of, but many others were not. My prayer is that as a nation we will never forget the sacrifices made by our military men and women, for freedom is never really free.

Surreal

I was at my favorite reading spot, an old stump, the warm summer light shown down on me. I was completely lost in the book I was reading; the story was wonderful with its epic action, touch of love, and a bit of mystery. I must have grown tired as I read and my eyes must have closed because the next thing I knew I was the brave maiden walking by the elf princess’s horse to her coronation. The butterflies danced around us and the trees sang. I should have known it was a dream… it was all so, surreal…

Installation

This entry was quite the process. I chose the theme of Installation because it was one of the few terms that I didn't know; I wanted to learn something new. Wow, installation is cool!! I looked at some other artists' works and spent a couple days brainstorming ideas. Then it was time to get out the doll clothes and the duct tape....

This is my entry, I have named it after a question that transcends time itself: 

"What Will I Wear?"
