Ruthie (Jess) Models Liberty Jane

In this post our Ruthie, once upon a time "Jess," is taking her turn modeling some items from the Liberty Jane Spring 2010 Line. She starts off wearing "Getty Villa Stroll" and then gets to model some Mix and Match outfits, just like Arista did last week.

So without further ado....the first outfit from the "Malibu Libby" theme...."Getty Villa Stroll".... without a doubt the most mix and matchable outfit amongst the first four outfits of the Spring 2010 Line....

And next is the green top from "Harajuku Station" with the jeans and shoes from "Boomerang"... (very versatile jeans, btw)....

Our final combo today is the jacket from "Boomerang," and the purple top and white shorts from "Getty Villa Stroll." The shoes are again, from "Boomerang".....

As usual, stay tuned for more Liberty Jane posts!

Helen's Handmades Tuscany Rose Outfit

Happy Valentine's Day My Friends!

What do we have to show you today??? Roses! From Derek. And doll clothing! From Etsy seller HelensHandmades. Click here to visit the shop!

This outfit is called "Tuscany Rose" and consists of 3 pieces combined: a golden dress, a layered skirt, and a ruffled bodice. Four different fabrics combine to make something quite stunning! We also received a golden hair clip with a red rose on it. This ensemble is quite the work of art, worthy of a dance recital or a party or maybe a princess.

We forgot to show you how the three pieces go together (by showing you stages of assemblage), so to remedy that situation we'll go back in time and link to the item listing on Etsy. Here you can see the outfit in its 3 other possible states. We were just so excited to pose Jess/Ruthie with the roses in her attire, that we forgot to take photos of the other 3 outfit possibilities. Sorry!

We'll probably take more photos of Tuscany Rose later (for a Tuscany Rose 2.0 post or something like that), once we have a bit more time.... but for now, please enjoy the photos below while I run off to eat Penny's Valentine's chocolates while she isn't looking. ;)

And again, Happy Valentine's Day everybody!

Doll Closet Christmas Dress

Here is the beginning of those Christmas-y posts I was talking about a week ago... yeah, I'm a bit slow per usual. But I am finally back from my out-of-state excursion and I have the time to organize these things.

First we have a Christmas-themed Asian-style Crossover dress purchased from Etsy seller Doll Closet. It is created from a novelty fabric with words like "Naughty," "Santa," "Joy," etc. printed on it. Our Ruthie (fka Jess) is modeling this fun dress for us. It came with the red tie-on belt that can also be used as a headband and of course can be used for other outfits as well. Always nice to have those types of versatile accessories.

Guest Review with Jess: Etsy's Julia's Creations

As you all may know, I love my fashions to be cool & funky, which is why I love this outfit from Etsy seller Julia's Creations. It has 4 fun pieces, my red t-shirt, striped leggings, polka skirt & jacket. I took the jacket off when I got hot.

This is my little sister Anna. She loves to wear pretty dresses so we got her this one from Julia's as well. It is so pretty and so well made. The prices are so great at Julia's we can't wait to shop there again.

Guest Review with Jess: Liberty Jane jeans & shoes

Hi! My name is Jess and I am the guest reviewer Nora told you about! I am 11 years old, I love cool clothes (especially skulls!), music, traveling, and hanging out with my friends (many you will get to meet here!) I am getting ready for an exciting journey as I travel from California to Washington DC. I have been shopping to help me get ready for my trip. I love my clothes to be cool with attitude which is why I love these jeans from Liberty Jane. They have a great destroyed look and fit great. I think my friends may get jealous. You can also find my skull shoes here.

Granmasplayroom Monkey Pajamas!

Need some awesome pjs? Or need monkeys? Look no further than Etsy store Granmasplayroom! Here Penny found some pretty darn cool modern pjs- one set with meditating monkeys and one set featuring sock monkeys. They are made out of really soft flannel fabric and come with snaps under the front buttons so they are easy to take on and off.

Also seen below are some plush donkey slippers, worn by Jess, from the Ebay store releaserain- the same store that brought us the tiger slippers you see on Maggie in an earlier post. In the photos below you can tell that the squishy donkey slippers make Jess appear much taller than our Mary. She said she felt very short.

During the photoshoot for these pajamas, Jess and Mary introduced themselves. Jess was intrigued to learn that Mary was originally destined to play the role of Kit's best friend Ruthie. But in fact had switched names and time periods to be colonial girl Mary Royall, taken from a John Singleton Copley painting. So, in reality, she shouldn't be wearing modern pjs. However Mary has a secret penchant for sock monkeys. Jess inquired if the role of Ruthie had been filled by another girl. Penny told her that the Ruthie casting call is still open.
