Remember like two months ago when I told you that my sister and I received special Christmas gifts this year? And I was going to post about them? Yeah.... and I didn't..... well here they are now. We got two Ty Li'l Ones: Mariah and Hannah.
Ellie got Mariah and I got Hannah and you can see them in their boxes below.... we added in some bonus pics of Grandma's Christmas tree and some of her decorations. :-) We will have pics of the dolls out of their boxes, too -- they even went outside to build a tiny snowman. So stay tuned for those pics.
And the good news for you is that Penny picked up "Trendy Taylor" as a giveaway item for this year. She will be featured as one of our monthly giveaways for AG's 25th Anniversary at some point. Here is the standard manufacturer's image below because we haven't taken pics of her yet. She is very cute in person. :-)

Three Modern AG Outfits
We are a bit behind the times with these three outfits, but maybe people still want to see pics. The MyAG line just comes out with too much stuff too fast! We can't keep up.
Ziva is wearing the Western Riding Outfit sans cowboy hat. We have the hat as well-- but we figured we would show it with something else at some point to spice things up. This outfit comes with the dark coral tee shirt, jean skirt, white braided bracelet, and cowboy boots.
The bracelet is cool-- people should makes those to sell on Etsy or something. The skirt is really cute-- key there is a very thin denim -- that is how they avoid making the layers bulky.
Kit is modeling the Sweet Sugar outfit with the spastic Yorkie embroidered on the front of the sweater. ;-) This outfit includes the cream sweater, embroidered jeans, magenta headband, and dark pink shoes.
Overall, a nice outfit. We would recommend seamstresses look into whether they can embroider their own dolly jeans. Might make an interesting selling point. For example, it would be cool if you could make a Chinese dragon going up and around one leg of a pair of skinny jeans. (Obviously you would need an embroidery machine, but I can dream can't I?)
Emily is sporting the Cozy Plaid outfit. This number includes the pink plaid capelet, the pleated skirt, a long-sleeve cream shirt, and the awesome boots. There is A LOT of pink going on with Emily's outfit-- but we liked the style and the boots. And we are trying to encourage AG to stay trendy.
Seamstresses take note-- has anyone drafted a pattern for this type of capelet? We don't know of anybody. Maybe you should and then pitch it to LJ patterns or sell it yourself. Or sell the capelets yourself. This outfit was very popular for two reasons: the capelet and the boots.

Meet Karito Kid Piper!
That's right-- we bought another Karito Kid! And back in December! Shocking! Okay... not really.... you all knew we were going to get more of these girls. ;-)
So to show you some more possibilities of the KK dolls in AG-sized clothing, we are showing Piper wearing the Liberty Jane Sofia outfit you saw in Saturday's "Purple Post" while she is hanging out with KK Gia. Our dark-haired beauty is modeling the Pippaloo purple belted dress seen in the same post.
And just FYI--- (as we have said before)-- Shirts, jackets, and dresses that are AG-sized may be a bit loose, and have slightly shorter sleeves on the Karito Kids dolls. We don't mind this-- they look good to us. But it might bug some of you out there. The skirts do tend to work really well for both types of dolls. For us -- it's the pants that don't tend to go from one type of doll to the other. But for other bits of clothing you can have fun experimenting. :-)
Without further ado, Piper and Gia....
Piper is a stunning doll... she has a kind of 'I don't care what you think of me' look on her face in most pics... but still very beautiful. We love her highlighted hair, skin tone, eye color, and freckles.
Slideshow....
p.s. Thanks for all of your great comments on the past few posts-- glad to know people are still coming here even when we don't post as often as we should! :-D

Two Interesting Auctions Ending in a Couple Hours
So we get the Liberty Jane Clothing e-newsletter. If you don't-- you should sign up.
This week Cinnamon included the Ebay seller "dollisterclothing." And we were intrigued by the picture. So we investigated.
Currently they are really affordable. They are also totally cute. The shirts and skinny jeans look really well made and also appear as if they fit excellently. We have never bought from this seller-- but it looks like a promising shop.
Previously purveyors of primarily pajamas, Dollister Clothing has now branched out to trendy fashions via Liberty Jane patterns. Viva la Liberty Jane Revolution!
p.s. Dollister Clothing-- if you end up reading this post at some point -- we do have one piece of advice for you: please put more pictures of your items into your Ebay auctions. People lovey pictures. :-)

The Purple Post
We've taken a lot of photos over the past few months that we haven't actually posted yet. So things might seem a bit random for a little while as we attempt to process those images and post about them. ;-)
For today's post we have three "purple" items-- yes we had a theme for this photo shoot. Haha. And you can tell we took the pictures in December because we had holiday decor in there. :-)
From left to right you see Cassie modeling Pippaloo's purple belted dress, Ginny wearing Melody Valerie's Literary Travels dress, and Lira sporting Liberty Jane's Sofia. We bought the Pippaloo dress when she first opened her Etsy shop (awhile ago). The Literary Travels dress is from the MVC Fall 2010 line. And Sofia appeared in the LJ Fall 2010 collection. As you can tell, we are sort of "behind" in taking pictures and posting things. ;-)
First here is a general shot of the three girls together....
And then Lira and her slideshow...
Ginny and her slideshow...

Last of the New Kanani Items!
Yep, after a week of sleeping on the job-- we finally get back to showing you some more of the Kanani items. Sorry we have been MIA-- it's almost mid-terms at school and the teachers like to give a lot of homework so we do well on the tests. Blech.
So it is about time to finish up the new January AG stuff here at The Doll Wardrobe because we got a lot of new AG stuff this month. Haha. That's right-- we put in a big order on the day the new MyAG stuff was released. So look forward to those posts!
Today we have Kanani's Aloha Outfit, her swimsuit with the life vest, her towel set, and her seal to show you. Zoe Twiggs is modeling the Aloha Outfit for us. We think she makes a pretty good stand-in for Kanani's cousin. Lots and lots of pictures ahead, so we hope you guys don't get tired of scrolling. ;-)
First Zoe and Kanani...
Then just Kanani with her seal....
Zoe.....
Seal and towel set.....
Zoe in the Aloha shirt with the board shorts and the Meet sandals and jewelry (she is wearing the necklace in her hair, heehee)....
As we have said before, we really like the Kanani collection and we appreciate how well things coordinate with each other. Yes, it is very "Barbie-esque" in design and color scheme -- but we don't really have any problems with Barbie stuff. We do think Mattel should create a thicker division between the styles of the two lines, but eh, what sells is what sells. And that is what they will keep creating.

Wood Shack Studio Beach Chair Giveaway: Enter Here!
The first time I typed up the title it said "Wood Shack Studio Beach Giveaway"--- that would have been nice! But a beach chair is almost as awesome! Haha. :-)
(Sorry for the delay we had with posting this... technological difficulties with Photobucket.... sigh.)
Thus begins our second American Girl's 25th Annivesary/Birthday Monthly Giveaway! Huzzah! This chair giveaway is one of two we are running this month, so be sure to enter both! We will run them until March 19th. And we will announce the two winners on March 20th.

Two Things: The Winner of the Jan/Feb Giveaway and Tomi Jane's Etsy Shop
Two thoughts for this post! Haha. Where should I begin?
You probably want to know who won the Sew Fun Doll Clothes Giveaway, right?
Well, the winner is......
Megg B.
Woot! Congratulations Megg!
We have emailed her (about 5 seconds ago)-- and she has already responded!
Thank you for entering this giveaway everyone-- we really appreciate your enthusiasm -- we had 98 entries!!! Yay!
And unless we are mistaken, we think the giveaway helped out the Sew Fun Doll Clothes Etsy shop. They had over 20 sales on Monday, February 14th -- the day we posted a reminder about the giveaway this week. And that is just one day!
Stay tuned tomorrow, when we will begin our new giveaway for mid-February to mid-March in celebration of American Girl's 25th Anniversary! As a special treat, and because we received so many fantastic giveaways items, we are going to do two separate giveaways this month. One for an outfit from Etsy seller AM PM Creations, and one for a beach chair from Etsy seller Woodshack Studio.
So you'll have two opportunities to win this month! Aren't we awesome?!? Yes, yes we are --- but it is really the people who donated these items that are awesome. Thank you sellers! We love you!
And for our second thought of this post... does anybody remember that pioneer dress we purchased from Tomi Jane? If you don't have a clue what we are talking about-- clicky the link!
Basically Tomi Jane is an AG Fans Message Board member and a fantastic seamstress. She stopped sewing for awhile, but now she is back and has opened her own Etsy shop. It just opened yesterday and already has 4 sales! Yay!
Here is a slideshow of items available as of me writing this post......
Winner Will Be Announced This Evening... For Now...
The winner of the Jan/Feb Sew Fun Doll Clothes Giveaway will be announced this evening. For now, you can all entertain yourselves by looking at the new American Girl MyAG stuff on the website-- or at least you could if the pictures were working! Can anyone actually see the photos???
So just FYI-- lots of new MyAG stuff was released today including a dog, a tennis outfit, and a bocce set.... but none of the pictures seem to show up.... haha. Is that just us?

Additional New Stuff... :-)
Hello again friends! Today we have Kanani in her jammies and Zoe in the Honey PJs, as well as Kanani's accessories. In addition we have some pics of Kanani in her paddle boarding outfit with her surfboard and paddle.
We really like Kanani's jammies-- as you know, blue is our favorite color--- but also because they look really good on her. We tried the Honey PJs on her and they didn't look nearly as good as her own. The Honey PJs are also pretty cute-- and they suit Zoe's coloring. Each outfit comes with cropped leggings, a long shirt and slippers. Kanani's accessories include the doggie, the baggie, the camera, and the various paper items you see in the pics below.
And next is the paddle boarding outfit from various angles... we will also show you the life-jacket over the swimsuit in a later post (with the monk seal, ooooo). This is a great set-- yes, there is a lot of pink going on... but there are aspects we like: 1) how it looks on Kanani, 2) the one-piece quality of the swimsuit, and 3) the chic hairband/bow thingy. Maybe we aren't that difficult to please, but it is a really flattering swimsuit-shorts combo.

Some More of Our New Stuff... :-)
Today we have Kanani modeling her Hula outfit and pics of the 25th anniversary mini Samantha doll in her holiday dress...
We have heard that Kanani's Hula outfit no longer comes with the anklets because they were staining dolly ankles... so if you own this outfit be careful that you don't put the anklets on for too long. Despite this issue, it is a nice outfit. Very over-priced for the contents (of course, thank you AG) and the pink is retina-burning.... but it does look really good on Kanani....
And here is Kanani again, showing off her mini Samantha doll (she gets the mini Sam doll since she is the 1st doll we got in 2011, the year of the 25th anniversary)... FYI the doll comes with a little label for the display case that says "Samantha" as you can see below...

Some of Our New AG Stuff :)
Nice title, right? Haha. We couldn't think of a better one, and that pretty much describes the content below...
So we got Kanani in January, and some AG stuff for Christmas.... so here are some pics... We begin with a picture of all the boxes of schtuff we got, move on to some shots of Kanani and her books, and then her modeling the True Style outfit from AG with Praline by her side...
Boy, that's a lot of boxes...
Pretty Kanani... we included a close-up book cover shot of her in the slideshow so you can see that her eyes are clearly brown on the cover of the Meet books....
True Style....
Obviously there is more new schtuff to show you that was hidden in those boxes... so stay tuned! :)

American Eagle Outfits Someone Should AG-ize: Part Four
And our last American Eagle post... outfits that we think should be AG-ized, i.e. turned into American Girl scale dolly outfits....
Some more simple but flattering looks.... navy and white striped long-sleeve shirt, again with the cute kangaroo pocket, this time accented with white, and a zip-down collar.... layered over a light aqua shirt.. and nice deep blue skinny jeans with some "destroyed" marks to them..... finished with chocolate brown boots.... have to admit that the stripes are really what calls us to this outfit, but they'd have to be just the right scale...
What catches our eye for #2 here is the army/olive green jacket paired with the blue and white patterned tank top..... with dark blue skinny jeans and totally awesome boots the look certainly comes together.... reminds us of a variation on Liberty Jane's "Pine Gap" outfit from their recent line (see pic below)... so we think a creation of this look would be popular...
And if you are thinking, "Well Liberty Jane already made an outfit like this... why should I make something like this?"... you would be right, but only four people in the world got a "Pine Gap" outfit...
A long skinny striped scarf! Whoo! Anybody have a place they get skinny scarves for AG's from? A lot of AG scarves are offered, but we haven't found skinny scarves like this for them. We also like this wrap-around chocolate sweater with the deep neckline over a purple top. Definitely a cool sweater and a cool look. The knit hat with ear flaps is also cute....
And here is a good chance to point something out: Etsy seller Doll Closet works with Etsy seller Yarn Twisted to pair dolly knit hats with dolly shirts and outfits... so if you are in the business of knitting, but not so much sewing... you might want to pursue a partnership with a dolly seamstress... she makes the outfits, you add on the accessories...... just an idea...... especially since accessorizing with a hat and scarf combo is very "in" right now...... and of course if you sew, but don't knit, you might want to find someone to partner with to make accessories for your clothing.... maybe even someone to make awesome cardigans to go with your tank tops and jeans....
We have talked about belted tank dresses before... but this one has a neat criss-crossed bodice, and we wanted to point out how it looks with a nice cardigan over it... nothing says you can't layer over a dress as well as under it.... ;-)... oh and check out those fantastic boots....
And last but not least a classic look that with some intriguing aspects... red and blue striped shirt under a close-fitting blue jacket (very collegiate-looking)... and jeans with destroyed patches that see-through to blue fabric (a nice touch)... add on some navy wellies and a handbag and she is good to go.... anybody have a place where they get nice dolly wellies from? (those rubber boots for rainy weather)... and p.s. for anyone making handbags, this bag is pretty cool.....

American Eagle Outfits Someone Should AG-ize: Part Three
We return... with more AE outfits....
Here's an interesting look.... what looks like a hand-cut V-neck shirt with big lettered graphics, light-colored "messy" jeans with tapered legs, a skinny yellow grommet-ed belt, and faded tennis shoes... nothing really stand out as a "must-have" item, but together they definitely have a cool, hanging out at the beach feeling to them...
Next we have part of the so-called "70s retro" thing going on in fashion.. a longer, floral peasant top which has an airy feeling with inset bands of lace..... paired with slightly flared-leg jeans, again with the light color that AE seems to be favoring for the spring/summer line... T-strap sandals, a double-necklace, and the dark brown cuff bracelet are nice touches....
Our third outfit for today, also from the spring/summer line.... again we see soft colors, floral patterning and our favorite tank dress, but this time with an intriguing verticality to the patterning, as well as a layered neckline and a tiered skirt... can't say we love the pink-ness but the overall design looks very nice....
Number four brings us a nice relaxed look... we like the all-over patterned shirt with the notched collar, cap sleeves, and the faded insets on the sides and waistline (unique), the semi-skinny belt makes an appearance, and we have some light-colored war-torn jean shorts... how one would destroy shorts like this and still have them stay together is a mystery to me, but they look cool..... question is, with they hold up in the wash?... though I guess that wouldn't matter in a dolly version....
A silky brown tank top, a 3/4 sleeve cream cardigan, relaxed fit white pants, and some really awesome ankle boots... and a pretty cool necklace... another one of those relaxed, but elegant looks... obviously for the dolly version, you'd skip the cropped tank top/bare mid-riff part and have the top meet the pants... but we think it would be possible to mimic the vibe of this outfit for dollies.....
That's all for now... stay tuned for more posts soon.... some with more AE outfits, some with AG stuff!
