Hello peoples! We wanted to promote our May Giveaways and show you some of the food we have purchased from Pippaloo in the past. We have it stored in a special box, all in the little Ziploc baggies they come in, for easy access. All we did was set out the place-mats (coasters from JoAnn Fabrics) and the dishes (from Crate and Barrel). Sorry we don't have a more advanced spread for the video -- but it all takes time, which is fleeting currently.
But anyways... Here is a video of dolly food: a hot dog, pizza, bread and a cutting board, Christmas cookies and a silver tray, bananas, cupcakes, cookies, S'mores, a sandwich, bagel, pretzel, baked potato and pumpkin pie all courtesy of Etsy seller Pippaloo!

Happy Mother's Day and an Opinion Poll
Happy Mother's Day to mothers everywhere and to anyone who has cared for a child. :-D
Hopefully y'all get treated to some nice dinners and some flowers. Today we are taking Penny to Target. Isn't that exciting? Heehee. Okay, so it's not dinner and roses.... but Target can be exciting too.
So this week we haven't posted much -- a) we were letting the May Giveaways announcement sit at the top and b) we have been contemplating whether or not we should start the NEW Spring/Summer Doll Photo Contest! (Which will have a doll as the main prize, and some runner-up prizes as well.)
We decided that we should ask y'all what you think. Should we start the new contest now? It will involve several weeks of activities (taking photos, sending them in, voting). Or should we be mindful of the fact that most kids are still in school until the middle of June and start the contest then? The contest would run more than a month, FYI -- like we said "several weeks of activities." Nothing too strenuous, but we don't want to interfere with "end of the school-year tests and schtuff."
Thoughts? Opinions? Feel free to share them below and to vote in the new opinion poll in the sidebar (which will be open for 6 days).

May Giveaways Begin: Enter Here!
This month you'll have two opportunities to win items for our 25th Anniversary monthly giveaways. Huzzah!
The first item you could win is a package of dolly food items from Etsy seller Pippaloo. The second item is a 1950s ensemble from Tomi Jane, Etsy seller Doll Times.
You will be entering both of these giveaways in one place-- here at this post. So be sure to tell us which item(s) you are interested in winning in your comment.
Now here are the important details: You must be 18 years old or older to enter this giveaway. If you are younger than that please have someone 18 years old or older, like a parent or guardian, enter herself/himself. One entry per person please, but you can have other family members enter as well.
To enter, please write your full name and your email address as a comment to this post. It will not be published and only Penny will be able to see it. A winner will be drawn out of a hat, i.e. randomly picked. Only entries with a full name and an email address will be put into the hat. If you win, Penny will email that address to notify you and ask for your shipping address.
Food set includes: two s'mores, three chocolate chip cookies, three popsicles, a grilled cheese sandwich, a banana, a sliced bagel with cream cheese, and a pancake with syrup and butter on top. The dishes are not included in the giveaway. They are ours, from Crate and Barrel. So they stay here. ;-)
FYI: We have some coats for future giveaways, but we decided we'd offer those in the fall since they are cooler-weather gear. So keep an eye out for those in the future -- 3 coats in total, 1 from Vintique Designs, 2 from Winter's Edge -- very exciting stuff!
Oh and p.s We have several other donations that you can look forward to seeing in the coming months' giveaways, including an outfit from 123 Mulberry Street and jeans from All Dolled Up. Yay!
