Hi again! Here we are to show you some more of the items we recently purchased from AG. Today we show you Lanie's new Nature Outfit and Gwen's Meet Outfit.
We thought the best way to show them to you would be to put them on the two new dolls, Adanya (#49) and Ziva (#29). We also included the white jacket from Lanie's Nature accessories set. We will be showing you the other accessories from that set in another post very soon.
Adanya is wearing Gwen's Meet Outfit--- yes, we really do think they went through extra Gwen dolls and took off their dresses to sell them separately. Why do we think so? Well the undies were already stretched out and part of the little flower design had been torn off of them (accidentally, I suppose). But we don't need our undies to be perfect anyways. ;)
We always liked Gwen, but couldn't quite convince ourselves to get her-- but the Meet Outfit was only $14! So we got this white eyelet dress, pinkish! sandals, pink undies, and a pink headband. You don't see the headband in this photo shoot because we didn't think it looked very nice with Adanya's coloring. Kind of washed out her bright eyes. Anyway- it was a pretty good deal for $14. Can't really get a complete outfit from AG for that kind of money normally. ;)
Adanya's favorite part of this outfit? The fabric of the dress itself- it is so summery, lightweight and feminine! :)
Lanie's Nature Outfit is pretty cool. We can't quite seem to join the "leggings can be worn as pants" club. We'd rather Lanie wore those leggings under a tunic shirt, skirt, or dress. But hey, we can always mix and match them now. The shirt is awesome and looks great with Ziva's skin tone. It was a little bright for our Lira, who prefers to wear slightly less bright colors. ;)
So you get the embroidered owl tee (very adorable!), the blue "denim" leggings, the scarf (be careful with the velcro on this puppy!), and the boots (which are extra awesome because they are blue on blue-- Penny's favorite color).
We added in the white "twill" jacket so you can could see it with both outfits, closed and open. It is very well-made, and the buttons and buttonholes even work! Though the pockets are fake- just so you know. We like the jacket a lot (and a white jacket is very useful for our fashion shoots)-- but we have to admit that the fit of a Liberty Jane jacket is better for the dolls. Though in the end, Lanie can bundle up for the outdoors better when her jacket isn't as form-fitting. Layering is completely easy with this jacket.
Ziva's favorite part of this outfit? The star buttons and dragonfly embroidery on the jacket!
You know one bad thing about getting new dolls? We are so excited to have newbies here in Badger's Wood that we take 10,000 photos of them! We kept switching the accessories around and taking more and more pictures. So we're sorry our slideshow is so long this time, but we hope you enjoy all 25 photos. Heehee.
Thanks for reading my novella and looking at all the pics!
