It could be interesting for people who don't have a doll yet, or even people who will never have a doll. It is a virtual world where you pick an avatar and play games with it. And most likely there is some form of interaction with other players-- maybe, maybe not?
I don't think you need to have a real doll to have fun in a virtual world.
It just seems like something similar to Webkinz, where if you want to keep playing and advancing through the virtual world-- you will have to keep buying AG items. Each JLY item will most likely come with a code to access some part of the Innerstar U campus.
This certainly is a device to try to get people to buy dolls and stuff for them. ;)
I did see on the brochure that AG hoped you were delighted with a Just Like You purchase...so I'm guessing a new JLY has come to Badger's Wood! There are too many new things from AG...I think I know for a fact you ordered the new Lanie duds =) Can't wait to see the new stuff!
I'm a bit confused about this new virtual world. Do you have to have a JLY doll to be involved? My daughter has Gwen and is getting Lanie b/c they look like my daughter. She uses them just like a JLY doll. And we buy all the JLY stuff. Can she still participate in the new Innerstar U? Please keep posting more info as you receive it!! Thanks!
I think she should still be able to play in the virtual world without having a JLY doll-- but the avatars she will be able to choose from may not include Gwen and Lanie. But they may include JLY #12 which looks exactly like Gwen.
In the end, I am not sure if the avatars will just be JLY dolls only, or all AG dolls. But my bet is that they will just be JLY dolls.
If you buy JLY merchandise for your daughter- those items will most likely come with access codes once this program starts. And then you can use those access codes in the virtual world (after you get the campus guide starter package).
At least this is how I understand it all- I could be wrong. ;)

Nope, this isn't the Online Kit itself-- just the advertisement for it. So it does not have any access code in it.
You can order the Online Kit for $10.00 from the AG website. But it is backordered until July 13th and you have to order it before August 14th.
August 14th "the offer expires"--- whatever that means. :/

They seem to only be sending this advertisement in the boxes with a new JLY doll.
But the Online Kit itself has free shipping, once you cough up the $10 for the kit. :)
Still, they might have something advertised in the AG magazine about Innerstar U-- you never know!
