My favorite outfit of the moment is this swimsuit I made myself using the Liberty Jane Clothing swimsuit pattern, Jenwrenne a-line skirt pattern from the summer sew-along on her blog and Daydream Doll Boutique tote bag pattern. I used a hand towel as a beach towel, made the sandals and used the leftover elastic bands to make a hair band. Also used beads from my stash to make the necklace.
I love it because of the fabric I was able to find at my local fabric store, and because Felicity looks so cute in it! It was my second attempt at making a swimsuit, and I'm very pleased with the way it turned out, and I think the a-line skirt wrap is the perfect addition to the outfit! Felicity is now all ready for a trip to the beach...when something that looks like summer will show up around here!
I love making all kinds of clothes for my daughter's dolls (well, and mine too as Felicity is my own doll!)! This one was first made as a birthday gift for one of my daughter's friends, but we both loved it so much that I had to copy it!
As for an outfit I would like to see made doll size, here is one. I like the navy and white trend, it is something I've always liked and there has not been much in the past years, so I'm thrilled to see it make a come back! This is an outfit I would also like for my daughter:
