What Kinds of Dolly Finds Are You Looking For? What Kinds Have You Found and Now Treasure?

We are curious:

Do you hunt for dolly-sized finds from human shops?

Are you currently looking for something doll-sized for your collection?

What types of items are you looking for?

Things for the kitchen? Dinnerware? Toys?

Also-- what are your most prized dolly-sized finds in your collection?

I'm looking right now for something to turn into a dollhouse, but I'm not sure I'd have much room. Once I found a little wooden treasure chest with leaves carved into it for two dollars at my school's holiday shop, and it's now a dolly chest. :)

I'm not really searching for anything in particular, just what catches my eye. Today I found mini modeling clay at the drugstore for 63 cents.

Well since I'm such an avid Dr. Who fan, I've been looking for a pan that could fit one of oswin's souffles and a whisk for her.

Right now I'm looking for doll sized food, I also want some furniture for my doll room. One of my best finds was a chair just like Felicity's at a garage sale, it's perfect!

One time at Goodwill, I found a never opened still in the box with nothing missing our generation Jenny for $12! What a steal! I look for basically everything. :)

I hunt in gift shops, accessory shops, and thrift shops.

I am currently looking for doll-sized toys for stopmotions/house decorating.

My most prized doll-sized finds... either my repurposed stationary holder (now a vanity) or the three bowls I got from Goodwill (they were tealight holders).
I also have two sample perfumes from Nordstrom that I think are really cute!

I look everywhere I go. When I go to my doctor appts, shop for groceries, get my prescriptions filled, & on my way home from my infusions. I like to shop at World Market, Hobby L0bby, CVS, & other stores I go to shop. You can get ideas from the different displays & check out different areas for things to use.

My most prized items are porcelain tea sets, mini grater, purses originally for ornaments, (they actually open!), deer also ornaments for "yard decor", ornaments for mini trees to use as cookies & candies, & mini tree skirts can be used to make thriw rugs, & place card frames to be used as picture frames or hold a mirror!

Jewelry boxes make great dining room furniture. I have a china cabinet that was a jewelry box - I took the foam and fabric, and necklace hanger. I just need to make a shelf.
Also, Hallmark made 7" Famous Americans dolls. I got an Amelia Earhart for Kit. Maybe Betsy Ross would be good for Felicity or Elizabeth, etc. Sometimes you can get them loose for just a couple $.

(P.S. - the Hallmark Famous Americans dolls I mentioned were made in the 1970's, so don't go looking in the stores! I went to ebay looking for an Amelia Earhart doll for Kit. It was much cheaper than the AG one that was discontinued.)

Another blogger listed some ideas for 70s themed doll parties. She mentioned a few games (Twister and Operation)...I've found a few "travel" sized games that are perfect for dolls. Look in toy sections and in the check out aisles at your favorite stores for these. I used a travel Connect Four in my rainy day at camp post. It was perfect.

I look EVERYWHERE, I really don't need more, I just enjoy finding it.

I'm not looking for anything in particular but I look everywhere I go, especially craft stores and thrift stores. I have used jewelry boxes for dressers and end tables. Bathmats and placemats for rugs.

I just found in a thrift store the 1996 school backpack! The same night at Joann's I found a sewing kit for doing repairs that was exactly the right size to be a sewing box for my doll. Yeah!
