This photo is of my Gotz Emily. The dress was made by my mom. I was seven at the time, and I desperately wanted an American Girl doll. However, my parents understandably felt they were too expensive. Somehow I came across Emily and fell in love with her. She shared my name and even looked like me. I received her for my birthday that year dressed in this pioneer “Kirsten” dress. She has remained my favorite even though I have since added four American Girl dolls to my collection (paid for by me!)
I love the Regency period, and I would love to see a doll dress like this one. I love the lace!
