As the final post of the week from me, Nora, I wanted to highlight a new gown available at The Dollies' Dressmaker website.
Here it is: a pink Regency period gown made from a gorgeous jacquard fabric!
It has a high empire waist with a ribbon belt and short poofed sleeves. Click here for a closer look at the dress.
If it wasn't this light pink color, Penny certainly would have purchased one for our new Elinor Dashwood doll (who by the way has just gotten her eyeballs swapped at the TLC Doll Hospital in Colorado).
Click here to visit the TLC website- an eye swap is $25 plus shipping and handling (+ insurance if you want it). Penny will let you know about the quality of the service once we get the dolly heads back.
If you would like dolly eyes swapped, but don't want to use TLC's services- please contact mstangledwebs at the American Girl Playthings message board. She is the doll "customizer" who put amber eyes into our #23 to make her into Susan Shapiro. She did a wonderful job, and we would have used her again for Elinor and the #16- but we wanted to be able to review the TLC Doll Hospital as well for all of our readers.
So now that our eye swap has taken place.....it is only a matter of time until you see the "real" 1950s doll and Elinor Dashwood here on the blog! *Fingers crossed* that the eye swap went without a hitch! (Penny has been walking around the house all morning chanting "Please be perfect, please be perfect" over and over again...heehee.)
