McKenna's Loft Bed Accessories

We totes forgot to show you these items from the McKenna Loft Bed set.
Our bad!

Also, sorry for the week of non-postiness.
Too much stuff to worry about at school. :-(

So McKenna's Loft Bed comes with an accessories set. We already showed you the bed, bedding, and hamster set in previous posts.

The items we show you today are as follows: the table lamp, alarm clock, gymnastics award, 3 mechanical pencils, 2 award ribbons, hand-held mirror, 3 books, notebook, poster, fancy ribbon #1 badge, note from McKenna's Mom, award certificate, "never give up" sticker, and gymnastic sticker.

WARNING:
Long post, lots of pics. :-)

The table lamp is pretty nice, but the "shade" has pieces of fabric glued to it that kind of make it look cheesy. I think they could have done that better. And the colors don't really go with Maple's Lab scheme. Perhaps we will work on the lamp to make it fit in more.

The alarm clock is cute. It doesn't ring, but the knob on the back makes the hands of the clock move. Again, the orange plastic quality isn't all too attractive. But we are thinking of painting it to go with Maple's Lab.

The various awards are pretty well-made. Useful for someone whose doll actually does gymnastics. But they really should have offered them separately from the bed set.

The 3 mechanical pencils are super-cute. They don't actually work - but they are nice. They are in modern colors, so they don't exactly fit with Maple's Lab colors. But we will probably keep them as they are because they are really nice.

The hand-held mirror is underwhelming - it looks like something Julie would have in the 1970s. But eh, it is nice that they included it - despite its plastic-ness, and silly stick-on "mirror."

The 3 books are really neat: Judy Moody, Harry the Dirty Dog, and Charlotte's Web. They are printed inside. The text isn't complete - but it is readable and there are illustrations. We like them a lot.

The notebook is very useful for Maple's Lab and we're glad they included it. You can see it here beneath her mother's note.

The poster, never give up sticker, gymnastic sticker, note from McKenna's Mom, and award certificate don't really fit into our Lab scheme. But they are good quality items.

Hope all of these pics were useful for you guys!

If anyone has any questions, please let us know. :-)

This post is fantastic and a great reference for me, as I'm planning to get McKenna's Loft Bed later on in the year!(Well it won't be mine, Emmie's, its for the twins) Of course, my guardian is planning to get McKenna and make her twins with my sister Marie-Grace(Reagan and Ryan are/will be their names)
McKenna will stay a gymnast so the awards and goodies included will come in handy. The books will go to my(Emmie's) bookshelf. The neat-o little pencils will probably go with our backpack sets.
The mirror seems pretty useless, although we are planning a 70's display so it may come in handy, who knows!
I like your ideas on re-doing the lamp and clock to suite Maple's theme better, I can't wait to see how they turn out!

Glad to know it was helpful!

Yeah, we'll have to start plotting make-overs for the lamp and clock.

Good luck your Loft Bed plans too!
