Modernizing the Spencer, Attempt #1

Sup peoples!

We've finally managed to craft a post with like, pictures.
Woot!

This is our first attempt to experiment with Caroline's Coral Spencer Jacket, modernizing it.
We put it on Adanya, wearing a slip from Melody Valerie underneath a dress by L'Atelier de Sitara. Her shoes are brass dress shoes we got from Liberty Jane a thousand years ago.

This is the final look.

We started with the jacket closed.
And without extra lip color on Adanya.
The jacket additions are earrings.
Yes, earrings.
We stuck those puppies right through the jacket as modern decoration/bling.

Then we decided the jacket would look more modern if we folded back the front sides.

And we added lip color to balance with the jacket so her face didn't look washed out.

Two more shots.

We think it all looks pretty good.
The jacket does look better open and folded in, in our opinion.
Also, it works well with the dress because the flare of the skirting balances the shoulder breadth of the jacket. Slim jeans wouldn't balance with the jacket, making the scale look off.

So this is our first experiment.
We hope it was entertaining for y'alls. :-D

We might try another experiment with the jacket if we get an idea.

More posts coming soon with the MyAG Santa apron baking set and some more Regency clothing! Stay tuned!

Very cute! BTW, how did you add the lip color?

Our lip color technique is temporary and easy to change. We use a magenta lip liner pencil and dab the color on; then rub it in with a Q-tip.

We use a Wet n Wild creme lipliner pencil we bought at Target.
