Caroline's Coral Traveling Set

Sorry for the lack of postiness. We haven't been feeling very well this week, and we were going to take extra photos for Madeline of the Birthday Set, but the camera wasn't cooperating.
So we will try and make those tomorrow.

And now Photobucket is giving us problemos. So we have turned to Picasa.
Sigh. So many technical issues!

Today we'll show y'alls a whole bunch of pics of Caroline's Coral Traveling Set.
Some people might consider it pink. But we see it as coral.

First we paired the dress with the Meet Accessories bonnet.
They do sorta go together.

Then we put the Traveling bonnet with the dress.

Third we put just the spencer jacket on with the dress.

And fourth we put it altogether.

Shots of boots.
They are slightly slouchy (i.e. not super stiff) and have a tie up the side,
but they actually open and close with velcro at the back.

The four pieces, dress, boots, bonnet and jacket are all very well-made.
The dress and boots are sold as one set.
The bonnet and jacket are a second set.
Total price for both sets: $84.

We really like the dress -- the fabric, the simple but flattering style, the gathered bodice, etc. It is a definite win. The gathered neckline and puffed sleeves are created with the magic of elastic, so don't expect that to be Regency-accurate and have drawstrings, haha.

The bonnet has a thin cream-colored ribbon tie that should be tied underneath her hair at the back of her neck. It is made of a pressed wool blend-looking material and accented with a thick striped ribbon and bow combo. It is very fetching.

The jacket has a very cool structure and is made of what we would guess to be a wool blend, with velvet accents. The buttons are textured plastic.

The shoulder flippy bits stick up a little bit more in reality than in AG stock photos. So they probably pinned them down. With some coral-colored thread you could easily tame them with some spot stitching. But they don't really bother us.

The jacket closes with velcro. We tried to hide it in the pics, but we weren't 100% successful. Haha. Whatevs. Also, the jacket fits over non-puffy-sleeved dresses a bit better, just fyi. The more fabric in your dress's sleeves, the more difficult it will be to put this jacket on over them. But it works fine over the coral dress.

Any questions?
Feel free to let us know!

Up next we experiment with the coral spencer over a dark navy dress
we custom-ordered from Vintique Designs. Stay tuned!

Would the jacket work with modern outfits, like a top and skirt? Would the boots? Thanks. :)
