Trends to Sew: Daily New Arrivals

Today's Trends to Sew

Daily New Arrival!

For those of you not afraid of chiffon.
And mixing fabrics.

Chiffon Sleeve Raglan Top

From Forever21
$15.80

A French terry raglan top featuring cuffed chiffon short sleeves.
Round neckline. Knit. Lightweight.

You could just try mixing two different types of fabric for this top.
Not necessarily chiffon with the french terry.
For instance, lace sleeves on raglan tops are also in.
Or sequined sleeves.

Maybe we'll show you some more raglan top options next.

Raglan definition for you:
  1. (of a sleeve) Continuing in one piece up to the neck of a garment, without a shoulder seam.
  2. (of a garment) Having sleeves of this type.

Liberty Jane also offers a pattern you could adapt to achieve this product:

They refer to it as a 'baseball t-shirt.'

There is also the Cortina pattern -- which has short, ruffled raglan sleeves.

You could leave off the ruffle effect (to save your sanity).
And it would offer you a different neckline option.

And you could alter the sleeve length to suit your needs.

Well, how cool is that?? I have several raglan-top-with-lace-sleeves already cut out and ready to sew together? Whoo-Hoo!
