Today's Trend to Sew: Blouson Tops

Wikipedia: "A blouson or blouse jacket is a coat that is drawn tight at the waist,
causing it to blouse out and hang over the waistband."

Most of us probably think of a blouse as a type of top,
but blouse is also a verb.

Blouse = "to fall in a fold"

Many dresses, tops, sleeves, etc. are described as blouson, or having a blouson fit -- i.e. parts of the garment poof out somewhere at a gathering.

Today's Trend to Sew is Blouson Tops --
tops featuring blouson waistlines or sleeves, or both!

If you have created a blouson top for your doll or doll clothing store -- email us at nora.demington@gmail.com -- share them with us and our readers!

These beautiful blouson examples are from Nordstrom. :-)
