Nicky Epstein
'Knits for Dolls' Blog Tour!!!

Welcome to a stop on the Nicky Epstein Knits for Dolls Blog Tour!!!

Today we talk about a book that has been discussed by several other blogs.

"Nicky Epstein Knits for Dolls:
25 Fun, Fabulous Outfits for 18-Inch Dolls"

We were sent a copy of the book by Sixth and Spring Books,
so this is a sponsored post featuring our own deep thoughts.

Go here to check out the book:

Our first question upon receiving the book was

"Who is Nicky Epstein?"

This back panel on the book explains that she is basically a knitting guru.

And she has published many books on this subject.

This new book offers a lot of great projects for the amateur and advanced knitter.
If you are a novice, here's a fantastic opportunity to track down a more experienced knitter, get this book and bond over the projects.

Need summertime craft projects to keep you busy?
Here ya go!

There is a Table of Contents with pictures.

And a Project Index in the back of the book.

As you can see, it isn't just sweaters and jackets -- there are dresses, hats, blankets, bathrobes, purses, socks and much more to knit.

The book features detailed materials lists for each project as well as in-depth instructions.

You will also see some useful charts.

In the back of the book you will find a page on Yarn Resources...

As well as a Glossary and Techniques section...

Clear technique images help your work go smoothly.

And you will also find special extras on doll jewelry crafting and teatime treats to bake.

But the best part is all of the wonderful photographs of
Madame Alexander dolls modeling the knits.

The publishers took quite a lot of care to set up elaborate scenes
that really 'sell' each project.

How cute is this picture?

And the pictures serve as great examples of how to photograph your handmade
doll clothing for selling online.

These images really make you want to dive into the book and start a project right away!

Thank you for visiting the blog today!

If you guys are interested in us giving this book away to one lucky reader --
we certainly can!

Just let us know in the comments if you want us to do that!!!

I'll add my request to everyone else's. I think this would be a lovely book for a giveaway. Nikki Epstein's patterns are always great.
