Quick Post: Meet Columbia Easton,
our Saige 2.0

We posted this series of pics on Facebook,
but we'll put them here for peeps who don't have Facebook. :-)

We stopped over at the AG Columbus store late Saturday evening
and did a quick tour of the store with our boy doll, Archie.

Here he is trying to blend in.

Sorry it is so orangey -- we don't use flash in the store because we don't want to blind people and it reflects off of the display cases left and right. :-)

Someone called him Justin Bieber.
He asked us "Who is Justin Bieber?"

And here is the store from the outside late at night.

There is a cool fountain outside of the store;
when you touch the frogs on the edges they spit out water. Heehee.

We picked up a 2nd Saige doll for ourselves in order to give her a side-part like she has in the movie and many of the book illustrations.

We took off her wig, swished it in hot/simmering water for 5 mins, and washed it with Redken shampoo and conditioner. Then we air-dried it.

While it was drying we put on our MyAG #40 wig that we took off of Sabrina.

She looks so great we'll probably make her a wig-swapping doll like
our Archie, Sabrina and Joanie.

We decided to name her Columbia Easton after the AG Store because we are silly like that.

So after the Saige wig was done air-drying we put it back on her head and gave it a gentle brush-through. So here she is...

And now she looks a lot like Ginny Weasley to us!

Which makes us happy. :-)

I love Columbia Easton! And Saige looks so pretty! :)
Also, did you get my email? I entered the Doll Giveaway Contest but you haven't posted it yet. Just wondering - thanks.

Wow - I like the side part even better than the middle part! :D So pretty!

Ooh! I love Saige with a side part. Good call! (I love the fact that she looks so much like Ginny Weasley too.) I would almost do this to the Saige in our house but she doesn't belong to me and rather to my 5yo daughter who doesn't want me to customize any of her dolls at all.

She is gorgeous! That turquoise shirt is such a pretty color on her. I've been waffling about Saige all year, but if she came out of the box like that I'd buy her in a heartbeat.

She looks awfully cute! What else did you buy besides Columbia and the tropical bloom outfit?

While she looks lovely with her own wig, the darker hair colour really suits her and intensifies the colour of her eyes. Making her a wig swapping doll sounds like a great idea.

Thanks everyone!!!

N -- We also got the science lab set, Saige's tunic outfit, her picnic set, a braided hairband, white store exclusive cargo pants, a store exclusive purple ruffled skirt, the new red hoodie, the new red cadet cap, and the new mini tote for dolls. We also bought 3 Saige bracelets that are store exclusives. That was our short shopping list, haha. We didn't even dare take out the long shopping list. ;-)

I can't wait to see the item reviews!

The one little thing that bothers me about the dark wig is that to me it looks a little off with her lighter eyebrows. Maybe a slightly lighter wig would look more natural?

Oooh, she DOES look like Ginny! So pretty!!!

BTW, I sent my doll giveaway entry back in June, and it's not up yet. :( It's Felicity's birthday gown.. did you not receive it? Should I send it again?

Yep, we got it -- it is in the line-up. We are posting Reader Submissions one per day or one every other day. So you'll see it soon. :-)
