My favorite costume was my troll costume. My mom made it for me and two for a couple friends as well. By troll I mean the dolls with all the hair (this was the mid-90's). We went trick-or-treating at a mall and people loved our costumes! They wanted to take pictures of their kids with us. Since our costumes involved masks, we didn't have to worry about smiling for all the pictures. The costumes were made our of felt and fur and included padding to give us the more rounded look.
What a great costume!
My favorite was the year my 4 year old insisted his newborn sister had to be a police dog (to his police officer.) They don't sell newborn German shepherd costumes. I made a reasonable fascimile and she HATED it. Wore it long enough for a picture but that was it!
I'm Quinlyn and I really want to enter this giveaway! :D Thanks for holding it! My best halloween costume was either a Dalmation, a Butterfly, or a princess! :)
That costume is so cute!
My favorite Halloween costume was when I dressed up as a colonial girl like Felicity. I didn't have any AG's at the time, but Felicity was my favorite. I had a blue dress, mob cap, everything! :)
How cute!
It was the best of Hallowe'ens, it was the worst of Hallowe'ens. My friend Harriet was holding a party, and I was so excited! I went there, all dolled up (no pun intended!). I was wearing a hula skirt and a grey crepe lei, and my mum had done my face so I looked like a Ghost--the ghost of a Hula Dancer! We started off by playing some random games, and then it was time for apple bobbing! It was fun, but when I brought my face out the water all my makeup had clogged together and was dripping as incessantly as a leaky tap. I tried to laugh it off, but I looked downright stupid! Then, I walked in on two older kids kissing, and sped out the room so fast that I ripped my skirt, and ended up with a string around my waist. I skedaddld into the bathroom, embarrassed. Then I couldn't open the door, and Harriet's brother had to let me out! When I was out, all the girls were getting ready to go in the jacuzzi. I joined them, and we had such a laugh, gossiping and telling jokes! Even though I got really embarrased, I had a fun time with my friends.

Awww LOL,my favorite costume
was when I dressed as the bride of christ:)(for church fall festival we don't celebrate holloween)
I even won first place in the costume contest:)
It was my favorite costume and my least favorite costume, but nonetheless the most memorable. I was only 3 years old and I LOVED Barney the dinosaur. So of course my mom thought it would be adorable for me to dress up like him! In order for my belly to look like Barney's, I had to stuff it with pillows and blankets. Then my cheeks were painted purple and green. When I went to the halloween carnival, a lot of older kids had laughed while teenagers and adults thought it was the cutest thing! The people taking the pictures kept getting pictures of ME! So till this day I'm all over my sister's yearbook at the carnival as "Barney". Its one of the costumes that no one, not even myself, can seem to let me forget!
My favorite costume from when I was little was my Rainbow Brite costume. As a 7 year old, I loved Rainbow Brite. However, my mom's strict rule was no store bought costumes. So, between my imagination, her creativity, and my grandma's sewing skills; they made me an amazing replica of Rainbow Brite. They even gave me multi-colored gloves, and made footwear to slip over my sneakers. The best part about the costume was my mom was in the store awhile before Halloween and found an orange yarn mop. She bought it and my grandma dismantled the mop to make me an orange yarn wig for my hair!
I don't remember my own costumes much but my favorite I made my kids was the year one was a pizza chef, one was a waitress and the youngest was a oven. I made a very real looked pizza out of homemade playdoh for ds to carry. They looked so cute together.
I would love to enter this. Thanks! My favorite Halloween costume was Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland. It was mostly just a red and white puffy dress with hearts all over it, but what made it my favorite was that it had been my Mom's and she wore it as a kid, then my older sister wore and finally it got to be my turn and it was special to me that it had been passed down through the family.
This is from RubyAlison, who would like this costume for her doll Tyler Lee.
I really don't remember a specific costume - they were always made out of things we had around the house. A few years after I got married, my husband and I went to a party dressed as each other. At that party they sent us out on a scavanger hunt and at one place we stopped a guy hit on my husband! It was the laugh of the group for years to come!!
My favorite costume was Little Red Riding Hood, mostly because my husband consented to go as The Big Bad Wolf. He wore a wolf mask and wolf like big fuzzy slippers and then a granny flannel nightgown and hat. We won first prize at the party!
My favorite costume when I was little was my Snow White costume. My mom sewed the whole thing. The worst costume was dressing as the Wicked Witch of the West. I really did look wicked because the green face paint itched and i wasn't at all happy about it!
My best costume ever was Wednesday Adams. I had a black dress stripped socks and a headless doll dressed the same as me.

Hmm...my favorite costume is probably what my husband and I have been for the past two years - Prince Charming and Cinderella! I converted an old bridesmaid dress in my costume (who says you won't use them again?!?) and I made my husbands outfit using clothes from the thrift shop (all women's clothing, unfortunately, but we don't tell people that) and some gold braid from the craft store.
We actually won a prize last year - which was $100. :-) It's so fun to get dressed up together!
This costume is so adorable! My favorite Halloween costume was actually not mine, but a friend's. One year, she dressed up as Wendy from Peter Pan. She wore an old-fashioned night gown and no shoes! She went trick-or-treating all night long with no shoes and it was an especially cold Halloween! Her feet got quite cold, but it was a fun night.
my brother was a lego character it was the night before halloween and we still weren't i remember sitting on the couch watching nightmare before christmas and working on it it was so origanal it was awesome I was kit that year and i walked aroung with kit in my arms
My favorite costume was he one my daughter created last year for a toga party. She wore a paid of short shorts and one shoulder tank top. thenshe wrapped herself in green saran wrap, added battery operated lights and a Christmas Star on a head band. She was a "Christmas Tree" toga.
Hi I'm Spencer and my favorite costume I've ever done is when I was two and I was a cute little cow :D
In 4th grade, I was Cleopatra. My sister did my makeup & she did an excellent job.
My name is Jasmine, I'd love to enter! My favorite Halloween costume I've done was either an arabian princess OR pirate.
I'm Colleen and my favorite Halloween costume was when I was about 4 and dressed up as Elmo. Of course Elmo had to go trick-or-treating with me!
My favorite costume of my sons was the year he went to school as Harry from the book "Harry and the Bucketful of Dinosaurs." At his school, you aren't supposed to wear a Halloween costume, but go dressed as a book character. Well, Harry has a bucketful of plastic dinosaurs. These dinos are special because only Harry can hear them and see them moving around. Liam dressed in blue jeans with a white tee shirt and carried his plastic sand bucket of dinosaurs around school all day.
My daugher went in a poodle skirt one year that her grandma made. She even wore a sweater buttoned with a single button at the top. All of the oder ladies remarked on it.
We love halloween, but the dolls don't have costumes yet, so we'd love this one! We usually do family costumes. It all got started when my son, 2 at the time, wanted to be a fireman and he thought his 8 month old sister should be the dalmation puppy. I asked what I should be and he said, "The firetruck" so of course I made a truck, but I couldn't wear it and carry a dog and fireman, so we put it on a wagon and pulled the kids in it. It was great and stands out as "The costume that started it all!" But really my favorite was the following year when my son wanted to be a trackloader and he thought his sister would make a good bulldozer. So we make them from boxes, with carpet underlayment cut up and glued to make the tracks. We used real bolts so the blade and bucket could move up and down. They were painted Catipillar yellow and they wore hard hats and overalls with bright yellow shirts. I and Dad wore construction orange vests and hard hats. It was the most fun.
